More information about Carmarthen

Carmarthen is easily reached by road (M4) or by rail. Local trains go to Swansea, where they link with intercity trains to London. There are also direct trains from Carmarthen to Manchester and Cheltenham.

There are numerous places to stay, both in Carmarthen and in the vicinity and a number of very good eating places in and around the town.

There is a new shopping mall in St. Catherine Street but the centre of town has some very high quality privately-owned shops which are worth seeking out.

See the map under 'How to find Carmarthen'. Further information is available from www.carmarthenshire.gov.uk/tourism
